  1. Staying ahead of the digital marketing game is about more than just understanding and applying basic industry principles. The digital world is ever-changing, as is every member of your target audience, so a huge part of successful digital marketing is staying in the know when it comes to trends. Trends can come and go in the marketing world just as quickly as they do in fashion, tech, or pop culture. But it’s easy enough to stay ahead of the game.

    • Great points, Robert. Trends change quickly, no matter what field you are in. Digital marketing looks a lot different today than it did when I got started in the field many years back. And it even looks a lot different than it did just 2-3 years back. New tech, new tactics, changing audience attitudes, and I tons of other factors keep us on our toes as marketers.
