One of the best ways to learn how to grow your business is to seek advice from experts who’ve been there.
Fortunately, there is no shortage of this type of content online.
Not all of that content, however, should be trusted.
To help you sort through the clutter and target the best blogs to get marketing advice for your business, we’ve listed a few of our favorites.
Let’s get started!
Table of Contents
Content Marketing Institute
This one is at the top of our list because of the quality of the content as well as the quality of the organization. Founded in 2011 by Joe Pulizzi, the Content Marketing Institute has seen crazy growth within just 11 short years.
This is due in large part to the quality of the staff and the brilliant minds who work on promoting the brand as well as publishing content on the blog.
Obviously, the subject matter focuses on all things content. Still, you can find great advice for all types of marketing, from events to social media to podcasting and everything in between. Bookmark this one. You’ll be happy you did.
MarketingProfs
This site, led by marketing mastermind Ann Handley, is part blog, part online learning platform.
You need to sign up to access most of the content, but signing up is free, and it’s 100% worth it.
The emails you receive after signing up offer links to great articles, courses, and more, so don’t hesitate to drop your email.
Beyond the free access, there are also pro subscriptions available where you have access to training programs provided by some of the best in the marketing business.
The main training program is $595 per year per individual, and there are options for team member subscriptions.
You can’t beat this deal or the quality of the content on the MarketingProfs website.
PamDidner.com
Pam Didner is both a marketing and sales expert, and the content on her blog helps bridge the gap between the two disciplines.
The key to success for many businesses is building a culture in which sales and marketing exist in harmony, and Pam’s blog can help you and your organization create that kind of culture.
Beyond the blog, you’ll also find great podcast episodes, access to Pam’s books, and lots of other great content like webinars.
Another valuable thing about this site is that the site owner is very interactive on social media, truly engaging with the followers and interacting through comments, retweets, and more.
Check this site out and sign up for the newsletter to gain tons of excellent insights into marketing and sales.
Marketing Dive
I like MarketingDive.com because you can stay up-to-date on marketing successes, failures, product releases and other great insights from real-world companies. For example, this piece on the last existing Blockbuster Video is a gem. Sign me up!
You can find lots of inspiration for your business through the articles on Marketing Dive.
The editors genuinely live up to their goal of providing the most impactful news and updates happening in the marketing field, so stop by and sign up for regular updates so you can stay in tune with what’s happening in your field.
Semrush
Beyond the fantastic suite of SEO tools that Semrush offers, they also have some great content on the Semrush blog. With a strong focus on SEO, you’ll also find topics ranging from social media to content marketing and many other things that impact your site’s search visibility.
There are also a lot of great downloadable pieces of content. You’ll have to give up your contact info to download some of the content, but it’s worth it.
You’ll receive lots of excellent insights in your inbox, so don’t hesitate to grab some of the content behind lock and key if you feel it would provide value.
The SEMrush team is also very active on social media and super engaged with their followers. So, go beyond the blog and follow their social media pages.
