Business Blogging Tips to Grow Your Readership and Increase Revenue

Blogging is a powerful business tool. Whether you’re a blog publication owner looking to boost your online profile and monetize your blog, or you’re a marketing pro running a blog for your business, you need to understand how to properly leverage your blog to optimize growth.

Good news!

Lots of bloggers and marketing pros have harnessed the power of blogging, and the blueprint for success does indeed exist.

Recently, I released a book titled Blogging for Business: Skyrocket Your Traffic, Grow Your Readership, and Boost Revenue. The book lays out 8 tactics you can employ immediately that are proven to drive results like boost revenue, grow your newsletter subscriptions, seriously increase website traffic, and grow your brand.

I’ve added a few brief notes from the book below to help you get started. But before you read on, you can grab the full copy by clicking on the image above. It’s free to Kindle Unlimited subscribers and comes at a great price to non-subscribers (now available in both digital and paperback)!

Alright, so, let’s look at a few of the highlights from the book to help you get started in the right direction.

To get your blog heading along the path to positive results and growth, follow these 8 actions. Check out the tips, then read the book for detailed directions on how to make these happen and grow your business or blog.

Publish consistently

Publishing a blog post here and there will get you nowhere. Have a calendar in place and get your strategy straightened out to fuel your audience with new blog content on a regular basis.

Welcome guests

Guest bloggers are always looking for opportunities to gain more exposure. There are some easy ways you can attract high quality guest bloggers to limit your own content creation burden.

Create lead magnets

If you want to really benefit from your blog, you need to have opportunities set in place to capture information from your audience. This way you can target them later.

Build relationships

There’s no reason to go it alone. Leverage the power of relationships to help grow your own blog while also giving back and helping others grow.

Leverage social media

Social media is a hugely valuable tool in amplifying the reach of your content. Put together a solid strategy, and then target your audience with relevant content.

Up your SEO game

SEO is critical in driving targeted traffic to your website. But it’s not easy. The book lays out multiple steps and tactics you can put in place to seriously increase your organic traffic.

Email marketing

Build your lists and start emailing. Email marketing is an amazing tool that continues to gain in value and effectiveness. Don’t miss out on its power.

Speed up your hosting

The technology you use to host your website is so critical to the success of your site. Google loves a fast website with quick-loading articles, images, and other content.

So, what’s next?

In the book, you’ll get a detailed blueprint for how to leverage the power of each of these 8 tactics. By following the tips laid out in the book, you can achieve amazing results, like what I’ve seen for my clients in the past. Results like:

  • Huge increases in sales via website
  • Giant growth in website traffic
  • Significant boost in conversions
  • Increased reach of brand awareness
  • Overall business growth

And, as always, if you have any questions after reading the book, I’m here to help! It’s all about working together to grow and thrive!

  1. Hello Anthony,

Congratulations, Anthony, on your second book! That’s amazing- well done! I don’t know how you find the time to do it all, but you’re always everywhere! I love how you present your tips; they’re easy to understand and actionable.

You don’t beat around the bush like some people do- you tell it like it is. It can take a long time and be really tough work, but you make it sound possible. Some people think they can just set up a blog and start making money from day one, but it doesn’t work like that. Good luck with your new book, Anthony!

    • Hey! Thank you for the amazing, positive feedback. I just happen to figure things out along the way, and while I learn, I like to pass my findings along to others. We’re all in it together, so when we have a change to pass along some knowledge and help one another out, let’s go for it. Thanks again! And yes, blogging is not easy. It takes hard work and dedication, and the results may take years to come through!

    • Consistency is perhaps one of the most challenging things about blogging. It takes a lot of time and focus. Unless your blog is your full-time thing, that can be challenging. I also run Gaenzle Marketing, a full-service agency, so I had to figure out creative ways to stay consistent and make sure quality content continues to go live on this site while I focus on ensuring Gaenzle Marketing’s clients are super happy!

I love how you present your tips, very easy and actionable. You don’t give us the runaround as some may do. Glad that mention how long it can take and how hard the work can be. Some think they can set up a blog in a day and starting making money from that day forward. Good luck with your new book Anthony!

    • Thanks so much, Lisa! I really appreciate it. It has involved a lot of late nights to be honest. 🙂

I didn’t want to present a “get rich quick” scheme. The only people who actually get rich from those are the ones presenting the scheme!

I really appreciate the positive words, the continued collaboration, and you always being so encouraging. And thanks so much for the recommendation to work with Sue-Ann for editing. She did some excellent work!

      • More and more every single day, I see how building relationships plays a critical role in thriving as a blogger. I have known it but am genuinely beginning to experience it, on a level of real scale. Every time I turn around some fellow blogger promotes me, supports me or endorses me. Awesome to see. But the support only flows through me supporting fellow bloggers. Keep on shining my friend.

    • Agreed 100%. Years back, when I made the move to publishing daily, I saw an immediate jump in my site stats. I now have around 1000% more traffic to my site than I did prior to publishing daily. The challenging part now is going through all the guest posts and selecting only the top notch stuff. There are a lot of good posts I have to turn down to get to the great that really add value for my readers. And yes, solid hosting helps for sure. Site speed is so important.

  8. Some great advice for bloggers, buy I wasn’t sure what you meant by “opportunities set in place to capture information from your audience”, what did you mean by creating opportunities to capture your readers information? Could you provide an example please?

    • Sure! Let’s say you’re building a newsletter list. You can create landing pages with lead magnets like eBooks, templates, recipes, etc. and ask for contact info from your site visitors in exchange for the download. It’s a great way to build lists and boost your pipeline.
