Producing shareable content is one of the best ways to increase your visibility and popularity online. When people share your content, it sends a message to other potential customers that you are worth following.

It also helps you build a strong relationship with your audience, which can result in them becoming more loyal and supportive of your business. In addition, shareable content also generates more backlinks or links from other websites that point back to your own.

Backlinks are important because they help increase the visibility of your website and improve your Google ranking.

Creating shareable content is beneficial not only for SEO purposes. It works well for marketing purposes as well.

When people see that you actively create and share quality content, they will likely take an interest in what you have to say and may even decide to buy from or subscribe to your channel or blog.

What Makes Content Shareable?

There are a few things that make content shareable:

1. Clear, Concise Content

The more concise and clear your writing is, the easier it is for people to understand what you are trying to say. It makes it more likely that they will share it with their friends and followers. If you struggle to put your thoughts in a nutshell, seek writing assistance and get a little help to get things done.

2. Engaging Stories That Provide Valuable Insights and Advice

If your stories are engaging on an emotional level or provide valuable insights, then they will also be shareable on a practical level. Many people like to pass on tidbits of information or moral lessons from stories because they find them interesting and informative.

3. It Looks Appealing

Visuals can help convey your message better. It means that images and videos are easy on the eye and do not require a lot of effort to read or watch. They are entertaining, which makes it more likely that people will want to share them with their friends.

There are a few things you can do to make your content look more appealing. For example, you can use beautiful fonts and high-quality images that are easy on the eyes.

Another way to make your content look appealing is to ensure your content is well organized and easy to understand. You can do it by yourself or find a service that helps reword paragraphs and lines in your text.

Creating shareable content is a great way to promote your business and attract more customers. It is also a great way to get your name out there and build relationships with potential clients. There are a few things that you need to keep in mind when it comes to producing shareable content:

Step 1. Set a Goal

Start with a clear goal in mind. What do you want your content to achieve? Are you hoping to attract more followers, build brand awareness, or simply increase website traffic? Once you know your goal, it will be easier to write content that meets that objective.

Step 2. Consider the Word Count

The general rule of thumb is that your content should be between 500 and 1.500 words long. It is generally enough to provide a good amount of information without being too long or too short. However, there is no right or wrong answer here. It all depends on the topic and audience you are targeting.

Also, you should bear in mind that longer articles tend to receive higher Google search rankings, so make sure it is well-written and concise without sacrificing any of the important details. You also want to ensure that your article is easy to read and navigate so that readers will not get lost or frustrated while reading it.

Step 3. Choose the Right Platform

There are many platforms out there. Each with its unique strengths and weaknesses. Some popular platforms for producing shareable content include:

WordPress

WordPress is a platform that is used by millions of people all over the world to create websites. It is easy to use and has a wide range of features, making it the perfect choice for anyone who wants to create a simple or complex website.

Medium

Medium is another popular platform that is used by millions of people to write articles and make them available online. It has an excellent search engine optimization (SEO) system, making it possible for your content to be found by a wider audience.

Snapchat

Snapchat is a social media platform that allows users to send short videos that disappear after they are viewed once. It makes it perfect for producing shareable content that can be easily consumed and shared.

Instagram

Instagram is a popular photo-sharing platform that allows users to upload long videos as well as photos. It also has excellent algorithms for ranking content based on popularity, meaning your content will be more likely to be seen by people interested in what you have to say.

Step 4. Bring Something Unique That May Solve the Consumer’s Problem

To produce shareable content, you need to have something unique that may solve the consumer’s problem.

For example, if you are a restaurant looking to promote your new dishes, you could create a blog post or video about them that showcases how they are different from what is currently available on the market. You can also focus on the benefits of trying out your new dishes and how they will make your diners’ lives better.

Another great way to produce shareable content is by developing explanatory guides or tutorials. This type of content is perfect for people who are struggling with a specific task or subject and do not have time to search for information online.

Instead, having access to a guide that explains everything clearly in simple terms will save them a lot of time and hassle.

Finally, ensure that your content is consistently updated and fresh to keep people coming back for more and stand out from the competition.

Step 5. Use Visuals

Visuals are one of the most important elements of shareable content. They can help you grab attention and move users to take the needed action. When it comes to visuals, there are a few things to keep in mind:

  • First, make sure that your visuals are high-quality and engaging. It means that they should be simple but also eye-catching and interesting;
  • Second, use visuals that relate to your topic or product;
  • Third, make your visuals easy to share on social media and other platforms;
  • Fourth, consider incorporating animations or videos into your content to add spice and excitement;
  • Fifth, ensure that your visuals work well with SEO techniques to rank higher in search engines.

Step 6. Do Not Forget About the CTA

You should remember that the most effective way to produce shareable content is by including a click-through action or a contact form.

It will help you convert your readers into customers, which will in turn help you achieve your business goals. There are a few ways to include a CTA in your content:

  • Place it at the end of your article or blog post;
  • Place it at the bottom of your page;
  • Place it as a sidebar widget on your website.

If you are including a contact form, be sure to include the following:

  • Your email address;
  • A description of what your service or product is (i.e., “We create high-quality graphics”);
  • How viewers can get in touch with you (i.e., through your website, email, or phone number);
  • A link that leads to your contact form.

The best way to share your content is through social media, where you can promote it to a wider audience. Here is how you can promote your content on social media:

  • Share it on Twitter and Facebook;
  • Use the “Share” button on articles or blog posts.

Conclusion

Creating high-quality content that will keep your readers engaged for an extended period can initially make you feel more anxious than happy. This skill, however, can be mastered in no time with lots of practice, the tips mentioned above, and hard work.

The content does not have to be difficult, and the most important aspect is how it makes you look as a brand. Positive results will be seen right away with highly shared posts where people enjoy sharing their opinions and experiences.

  1. Hi Frank, Anthony,
    Great post! I just want to stress on your point about the importance of using visuals to create shareable content. And not just stock content, but ones that you create yourself to highlight some points.

    They don’t have to be very detailed infographics, they can also be little tables, comparison charts. I create a lot of such images with Canva, and they get a lot of Pinterest pins, links (yay!), and even show up in the Image Pack in Featured Snippets!

    It takes a bit of time to create these visuals, sure, but if you have some templates already created, then you can just add in the information for your new blog post, change some colors, and voila! You have a brand new shareable piece of content to add to your blog post!

    • Thanks, Poulomi. I appreciate you dropping by the blog! Visuals can give a site major boost. Especially, as you mention, visuals that you create rather than using screenshots or stock images.

      Canva is an excellent tool. Edit.org is another great one that I use in a pinch.

  2. Hi Frank, I think starting with a goal for your content is the correct way to begin. Then, create the content in a way that will generate readers into it. I do like to see some visuals to break up the wording when I’m reading posts online. I used to always forget the CTA at the end of my posts, however, I also am sure to check for them now especially when I’m updating old content on the site. Great tips btw!

    • Hey, Lisa. It’s definitely a solid point. Each piece of content should have a goal. That goal doesn’t have to directly generate business, but it should at least play a role, something like build awareness, improve SEO, these are all solid and important goals as well. And yes, a visual dropped in at the right place can really help people flow through the article.
