DesignCap Product Review: Making Graphic Design Simpler and More Effective

Visual content is hugely important to a company’s marketing success, but not all companies have the capabilities in house to design high-quality, visual content consistently. Nor do they have the budget to hire in-house designers or even outsource to freelancers.

DesignCap offers an excellent solution. This easy-to-use tool can turn virtually anyone on your team into a graphic designer. With DesignCap, you can easily create presentations, infographics, reports, logos, charts, business cards, social media graphics, and the list goes on.

Let’s take a look at the tool and some of the elements involved so you can a grasp of whether DesignCap is the right fit for you.

So many templates

No matter what type of design you are looking for, DesignCap has a template for it. And not just one template. There are thousands of templates available for a wide variety of types of designs. Just to give you an idea of some of the design types available, here are a handful of templates you can grab and customize to your needs.

  • Infographics
  • Facebook and other social media covers
  • Reports
  • PPT presentations
  • Pinterest graphics
  • Flyers and brochures
  • Menus
  • Business cards

This is less than half of the available template types, and within each template type, you have tons of great options. Here are a few samples of the templates you have available.

Easy drag and drop functions

The best part is that basically anyone with a little knowledge of how a computer works can create the designs for your brand. The templates come pretty much ready for use, but you can enhance them and customize them a lot if need be.

There are lots of elements, graphs and charts, imagery and other pieces you can pull into the design to improve the product. This is a screenshot of the interface, so you can see how simple it is.

File type and size options

Once you complete your design, you have the option of downloading the content in the following formats.

  • PDF
  • JPEG
  • PNG

All of which give you a viable, high-quality option for posting on your website, distributing or social media, or promoting or whichever channel you prefer.

You can also choose from four file sizes (small, medium, large and extra-large), which allows you to download the right size depending on what your plan of use is for the particular design.

Upload branding and imagery

Obviously, not all templates are going to magically show up with your branding and color scheme. Fortunately, with DesignCap, you have the ability to upload your logo, imagery and other elements as well as change the colors and fonts to be more in line with your branding.

As I discuss in numerous posts on this site, staying consistent with your branding across all of your concept is super important. Fortunately, the upload feature for DesignCap allows you to do just this.

With the top-level package coming in at only $5.99 per month, you can’t go wrong. There is a basic, free package with limited templates. That might be a good place to start to test it out, but for a few dollars more per month, you can upgrade to packages with unlimited options and increase uploads, designs and other excellent features. Here’s a snapshot of the pricing.
