Simple, effective invoicing

One of most valuable aspects of Freshbooks is that the platform makes both creating and sending invoices simple. The user-interface is very user-friendly, and you don’t have to be a technology genius to figure it out like you would with other options. You can easily set up recurring invoices and schedule things like payment reminders to help your business function smoothly.

So, you can seamlessly run your business online, Freshbooks’ software allows you to accept debit cards and credit card payments for your online invoices. The software also allows you to monitor invoices status. After you send your invoices, you can see the time your customers receive and view them.

Billable time tracking and collaboration

You can also use Freshbooks to track billable time and expenses. Then, once you’ve completed a project, you can easily create an invoice with the proper hours, adjust it to your client’s need and send away. The time tracking component is hugely helpful in staying on top of projects and ensuring that the bills you send out are accurate to keep your clients happy and to keep your books on point.

You can also easily collaborate with team members within the tool. And that’s not all. You are also able to collaborate and communication with contractors and partners, which means anyone involved in the project can be kept in the loop, not just your internal team.

Excellent customer support

Freshbooks, in my experience and in the experience of many others I’ve spoken with as well as reviews online, has amazing customer support. The reps are super knowledgeable, and I’ve never run into an issue that wasn’t solved with haste.

If you are struggling to get the software up and running, Freshbooks offers excellent support in this area as well. They will help you get setup and walk you through any areas where you are having challenges to ensure you’re able to fully utilize the tools available to you.

Unlike some companies that only offer support until 5 pm, With Freshbooks, you will have access to customer support from 8 am until 8 pm. This extended time is useful, as it’s not always feasible to jump on a call with customer service during traditional working hours.

You have the option for both phone calls and live chat support, which adds another layer of convenience.

Additionally, the blogs and free eBooks on the Freshbooks website offer you proper knowledge on how to use the software. These can be hugely useful in helpful you optimize your use of the product.

Pricing

Freshbooks also offers a lot of flexibility when it comes to pricing. It has four competitive pricing plans you can choose from. They are based on the number of customers you work with. So, if you are a smaller business, you can start small and you have the option to upgrade as your business grows and your customer-base grows. See below for pricing options.

If you opt for the annual payment for Freshbooks instead of a monthly subscription, you can save 10% or more depending on what specials are ongoing at the time.

One of the best parts is that you can sign up for a 30-day free trial so you can test drive the product before you commit to buying. During your trial, you can try all Freshbooks features and determine how much they suit your business, which will allow you to see if it’s a fit, and if so, which features you would really need.

Some Freshbooks drawbacks

While we love Freshbooks and highly recommend it, no platform on the market comes without any drawbacks. For example, Freshbooks does not give you batch-invoicing shortcuts that may be useful to you. A feature like this could be useful in cases where you might need a shortcut when invoicing several clients for a similar service at the same rate.

Invoice customization options are limited for you in Freshbooks. You only have two fonts and templates to choose from. These options are narrow if you compare to Freshbooks’ competitors.

Finally, you will not get vendor management or inventory tracking in Freshbooks. But the software does provide you with project management features and time tracking. That makes it suitable for project-based and service firms.

Wrapping it up

Among its account software peers, Freshbooks certainly measures up well. I highly recommend signing up for the free trial and seeing for yourself whether the software is a fit.

  1. You really make it appear really easy together with your presentation but I find this matter to be really one thing which I feel I might by no means understand.

It sort of feels too complicated and extremely vast for me. I am taking a look forward in your next post, I will try to get the hold of it!

    • It is definitely a very useful (and affordable) tool for businesses as well as freelancers. At the price, it’s a great tool for freelancers to use to keep track of their revenue and send invoices.
