Blogging is a great revenue source, if done right and you are willing to invest time, but there are tons of other benefits. To name just a few:
- Helps you craft your public brand voice
- Improves your writing skills
- Brings out your creativity skills
- Helps you learn a lot about a topic
Intellectually, you will improve a lot after starting your blogging career. Blogging isn’t a waste of time. You are doing something productive that is useful for people around the world.
Later on we will explore 7 reasons why you should start blogging, but first…if you really want to start blogging, there are certain things you need to know. Let’s answer two important questions
Are you sure you really want to start blogging?
The reason why I’m bringing this up is because, as a beginner you may not be aware of the realities of blogging. You might think blogging is some kind of work where you can make money overnight. But unfortunately, that’s not the case. Blogging is something where you have to bring out your effort and skills and put in lots of work. You don’t get traffic or visitors within the early days. It’s about how you’re working. It takes you a minimum of 6 months to get some exposure for your blog. If you really follow some of the tactics and strategies and put in enormous efforts and hard work on your blog, you seriously increase your chances of success and of generating revenue from your blog.
How can you become successful in blogging?
Blogging isn’t really an overnight thing where you get tons of money from a few nicely crafted blog posts. It’s where your hard work pays off, and you need to be dedicated to succeed. If you really have patience and commitment, you can make your way to success on your blog. It works when you start putting in effort and hard work on your articles and building relationships with other bloggers to help spread the word. Your articles will be seen by the public. They are the people who judge your work. If you make your articles concise and unique from others, as well as add value targeted at the right audience, you will definitely get exposure over time. If you really want to create and start a blog, keep in mind what I have said, build relationships, and know your target audience. Those are the keys to success.
There are lot of reasons why we should start blogging now. Below, I’ve listed out 7 of the best reasons which define how important is blogging and what the benefits are to you if you pursue a blogging career.
7 of the Best Reasons to Start Blogging

It is really a productive work that pays off in many ways like getting a lot of visitors, traffic, compliments from the audience and producing money from your precious work.

One of the best things you will learn in blogging is that it develops your writing skills into professional standards. Even if you’re a bad writer and make grammatical errors, continued blogging changes you, and your writing will become professional. As you continue to practice, you will begin to produce content within a shorter time than you took in the beginning. At the beginning stage, you may not write good content. Once you start creating content, it will become easier for you and your writing skills will improve a lot. This is one of the best benefits that you’ll learn in the process of blogging.
3 – Build relationships with people
Blogging enables you to build relationships with other bloggers in same community. It is a good practice to make relationships with other bloggers to share your ideas and knowledge with each other. It becomes much easier for you to produce content. It’s nice to have someone who is a blogger to talk to. You have some bloggers and people to boost our confidence and inspire by motivating each other. Consequently, you will learn how to talk with other people respectfully and nicely. And the bloggers you connect with will help your content reach larger and larger audiences.
4 – Personal development
Personal-development is an important characteristic you will learn in the process of blogging. You may think that blogging is just writing stuff and content, but, fortunately, you can learn so many aspects that enhance your personal development.
- Creativity: Blogging brings out the aspect of creativity. You need think about wording, voice, tone and style, as well as the layout and more to create solid content, so you begin to become more and more creative throughout the process.
- Good Explainer: You will become a good teacher and can explain things briefly to the audience.

- How to Promote and Learn SEO: You will learn a variety of promotional techniques like advertising, social media, and SEO ( search engine optimization ). These are all very important aspects of blogging success.
- WordPress: WordPress is one of the best CMS platforms to write articles and customize your blog. One of the best parts is that it’s easy to learn and very user-friendly.
- How to Write Content: As you write, the process will become easier and easier. At the early stage of blogging, you may experience challenges in some areas. A few months to a year in, however, you’ll look back on those struggles as a thing of the past.
5 – Establish a personal brand
There are tons of blogs out there that have enjoyed huge success. Those blogs have established their brand and become a source for targeted audiences around the world.
Look at some of the huge sites like The Huffington Post, Techcrunch, Mashable, and Engadget. There are also a large number of smaller ones like Neil Patel, Jeff Bullas, SimpleFactsOnline and others that are doing quite well and hinge on the efforts of one person (building teams as they grow). They are earning tons of money each month.
None of the above were successful overnight or without tons of effort. They became successful and reached their goals by working hard and putting a lot of effort. If you are willing to put in the time and effort to building your brand, you can see this success, too.
6 – Opportunities
Blogging gives you many opportunities like collaborating with other blog sites, in-person and online speaking opportunities, getting interviews from the press, business collaborations, and much more. It makes your brand and site reputable once you collaborate with successful blogs. Never deny the opportunity you get from the blogging community. You should feel lucky to receive that and you have to use it wisely and reciprocate the kindness offered to you.
Sometimes, you will also get emails from companies to promote their brand and products. They are requesting that you promote their brand because your site has some good content and reaches the right audience for them. You have to take it as an opportunity and do it if A) it’s a fit, and B) there is revenue opportunity for you.
7 – Make Profits
Finally, you can make profits and money from blogging. A lot of bloggers are successfully making money from their blogs and living off of that revenue alone. If you do this right, there’s no reason you can’t do the same. Alternatively, there is YouTube platform too where you can earn a lot of money as well. - Advertising ( Adsense, Media.net)
- Affiliate Marketing
- Selling your Products
- E-Books and Courses
- Sponsorships
You won’t earn much of anything right from the start, so be sure to stick with it. It can take you 6 months to start to bring in a few bucks, and even then the money won’t be enough to quit your day job. You aren’t going to make thousands a month right from the start. However, as you continue to build your traffic and interest in your blog, you can start to see the dollars rolling in.
To make it happen, however, you need to keep creating quality content, and one day you will earn a solid income from blogging. 1000$, 5,000$, $10,000, even millions if you really hit the jackpot. The more relevant visitors you attract to your blog, the bigger your revenue can grow. Just be patience, and stay focused.

Blogging definitely deserves your full commitment and passion. Without that piece of the puzzle, it’s very challenging to get off the ground. Great point about defining your audience as well!
I agree with your points. I’ve been blogging for a few months now and it has given me confidence, to practice something that I am good at on a regular basis. It has also made me more articulate in explaining things and who knows, maybe I’ll grow the site and monetize it some day?
Sure, why not. You can grow and monetize your website if you pursue right things and execute them correctly. You will surely able to earn money and move on with blogging career. Consistency is very important among all other things in blogging. That should be so tight. Here’s the suggestions for your site :
1. Reduce the font
2. Change the theme ( it is bulky and taking time to load )
Expect these, you’re blog is great.Keep up the good work

Blogging has made me more confident in myself than ever before, Because I taught nobody cares about what I have to say but blogging helped me to build my confidence and to be productive. I totally agree with all your reasons for starting a blog, thank you so much for sharing.
Yes, being able to work on your blog with confidence and commitment is suffice. But, few guys still can’t find blogging is productive instead, they put out false news that Blogging is Dead. But ,Blogging is Alive and is working perfectly unless you are not a quitter.
Glad to hear that, Constance. Blogging can be so powerful and it definitely gives you a voice! I love your blog, by the way. Great work!
Blogging is a marathon.????
I equate it to putting your foot at the door you want flung open.
As you share your story, you showcase your competencies, skills and qualifications.
If you define the opportunities and goals you want to accomplish when you start blogging today, you will realize the vastness in multiple niches or within a niche. The results may be instant or trickle in over time depending on the tools and resources you start using.
Only you can decide how to best to present your skills and qualifications.
Only you know the gaps!
